Dr Perry Xiao is an Associated Professor and Course Director of London South Bank University. He comes from a physics and electronics background, having received BEng in Opto-Electronics, MSc in Physics, and PhD in Photophysics. His main research interest is to develop novel infrared and electronic sensing technologies for skin bioengineering applications and industrial non-destructive test (NDT). Dr. Xiao is a director and co-founder of Biox Systems Ltd, a university spin-out company that designs and manufactures AquaFlux and Epsilon Permittivity Imaging system, which have been used in more than 70 organizations worldwide. He also teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students in the areas of electronics, software programming, and computer networks. Dr. Xiao is a course director, and designed and taught several modules focused on Java programming.
